A Letter From Our Pastor
I welcome you to the fellowship of our church! I hope that you will expore some of the other sections and links on our website in order to get to know us a little better. We are a church with deep roots that go back to the earliest settlers in Plymouth, but who are also open to new ventures and approaches. We draw spiritual understanding, nurture and strength from Scripture, our history, and our own personal experience as we seek to follow Jesus Christ. We see our church as an umbrella under which people from many different traditions and perspectives can gather, share who they are, and journey together in faith, discipleship, and service. We welcome inquiring people from all backgrounds and find new energy in the diversity that new persons bring to us.
Our church, the first in Milton, was officially gathered in 1678. We are interested in the rich history that tells us where we have been just as we are also very invested in the history that we have yet to make. We seek to be a creative force not only in our own church but in the local community and the world.
We are excited about the upsurge in energy, membership, and activities that have taken place here over the past several years. In response to our growth in numbers, especially with young families with children, we completed a stunning new addition in 2002 to house our growing church school. We have also created The Centre School, a preschool for children, which operates in the new facilities during the week.
We have worked hard to help make our dreams a reality and look to the future with real anticipation. We hope that you will visit us in person and experience the Spirit, the message, the music, and the warm fellowship yourself!
Yours sincerely,
Rev. Dr. Jeffrey P. Johnson
